meta tags go in the <head> part of your website. Lots of web designers don't use these tags anymore, however I do still find them important. I have tested websites with and without the meta tags and what I have found out is the websites with the meta tags will get indexed a lot faster then the ones with out. Most web designers try to stuff as many keywords they can into a web page. This does not work! Each page that is designed should be designed around one keyword(phrase). That whole page should be designed around that keyword(phrase) to help promote the keyword(phrase). Again if you do not go through Laagee Networks please check your web page and see if your web pages are designed around one keyword(phrase). Also you do not want to many keywords on your web page or your website could get band from search engines. A safe estimate is for every 250 characters you can have one keyword(phrase). So if one page has 1000 characters you should have your keyword(phrase) mentioned five times.
One of the most important part of SEO is backlinks. what is a backlink you ask? A back link is your web address on someone elses website. The reason why this is so important is that if google sees 45 links to your website and 30 links to your competitors then google will say your site is more important (it is actually more complex then that, but in a nut shell this is how it works)This part is very time consuming and should always be an ongoing process. Each year you should gain at least a few links to help keep your website optimized. Again if you do not go through Laagee Networks this is something you can easily do your self. However please do not join any link farms or trading sites. Websites don't get banned from using these sites but search engines will penalize your website for being part of them. Also do not exceed over 25 unique links a month. Google tends to penalize your website if you go over 25 links a month(they will assume you are paying for your backlinks which is forbidden).
